Why Creators Lounge Exists (And Why You Should Pull Up a Chair)
Every week, a small but mighty group of creatives jumps on Zoom—not to pitch, sell, or perform—but to talk.
It’s called Creators Lounge, and it’s become one of the most honest, inspiring, and refreshing hours of my week.
Let me tell you why it started, what happens there, and why you should join us.
What Creators Lounge Isn’t
Let’s get this out of the way:
It’s not a webinar.
It’s not a workshop.
And it’s definitely not one of those “networking” events where everyone’s performing success on mute.
There’s no keynote. No pressure. No hard sell.
Just a space to be real with other people who understand what it means to create, build, experiment, and push through.
What It Is
Creators Lounge is a weekly conversation for filmmakers, podcasters, designers, writers, creative entrepreneurs, and anyone doing the work of making something — and figuring it out as they go.
Every Wednesday at 7 PM EST, we hop on Zoom.
We talk shop. We share ideas. We check in.
Sometimes we workshop projects. Other times we just listen, support, or vent.
It’s low-key. It’s high-trust. And it’s surprisingly energizing.
And from time to time, we invite experienced guests — creators, entrepreneurs, and industry pros — to join the Lounge and share their insights, stories, and networks. Not in a “look at me” way — but in a “here’s what I’ve learned, and here’s how I can help you” way.
Those sessions bring an extra spark. But what makes Creators Lounge work is that it’s ongoing. It’s not a one-off event. It’s a rhythm. A place to show up, get seen, and build something that lasts.
Who It’s For
You’ll fit right in if:
You’re a filmmaker or video creator looking to connect beyond the film fest circuit
You’re a podcaster craving real conversations with fellow storytellers
You’re a designer, artist, or builder looking for inspiration and community
You’re growing a creative business and want to do it in good company
You’re early in your journey and want to learn from people who’ve been there
We’ve got a mix of experience levels in the room — and that’s what makes it great. Everyone brings something different, and everyone walks away with something valuable.
Why We Keep Showing Up
Every week, someone says, “This is exactly what I needed.”
Not because it gave them a checklist or magic formula — but because it gave them people.
People who show up. People who listen. People who genuinely want to build with you, not just talk about it.
We’ve seen real collaborations happen. Podcasts launched. Clients booked. Friendships formed.
But even if you don’t walk away with a deal, you’ll walk away with momentum. That’s what makes it worth coming back.
Join Us
Creators Lounge meets every Wednesday at 7 PM EST.
Hosted by me, Daron Jenkins, and my co-host Rory Wells — two creatives who’ve been in the game and wanted a better way to connect.
Come for the community. Stay for the conversation. Leave with clarity, energy, and maybe even a new creative partner.

If you’ve been looking for your people, you might’ve just found them.
See you in the Lounge.
PS…we’re planning an in-person networking event (in NYC) featuring a panel of creators, entrepreneurs, and filmmakers. If you would like to be invited (taking place in late July), be sure to comment on this article.
